When a tooth is lost to an untreated cavity or a treatment based tooth extraction it can certainly limit your ability to efficiently chew food. It can also impact the clarity of your speech and potentially affect the appearance of your smile.

To fully restore the function and appearance of your mouth, Dr. Bryce E. Justesen can install a dental bridge at his dental office in Mesa, Arizona. This is essentially an artificial tooth that mimics the appearance of the original.

The dental work includes with an empty crown at each end. The dental bridge will eventually be anchored onto abutments formed from the core of the two teeth neighboring the void. Dr. Bryce E. Justesen will prepare these teeth by completely removing the tooth enamel of each tooth with a dental drill.

Once this is done a detailed impression will be made of the area. It will be sent to a dental lab where your dental bridge will be created

When your dental bridge is ready a member of Dr. Bryce E. Justesen’s staff will call you to schedule a second appointment. Dr. Bryce E. Justesen will remove each of the temporary crowns and cement your new bridge work onto the abutments with a strong dental adhesive.
